In this painting, I have tried to depict the sorrow of a broken heart as reflected in the eyes of the protagonists. The Edward Hopper-esque background suggests that the venue is an office in New York. A blonde woman sitting in the partition between two rooms holds a torn envelope in her hand. Obviously, it was what came out of this envelope that caused her heart to break. The young man in the other room looks at her heartily with the pain and silence of the broken relationship.
